The first edition of the World Padel League, which was played between June 8 and 11 at the spectacular Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.
This is the World Padel League, a team league that has lived its first edition in Dubai. The first winners have been the Jaguars, a team formed by Gemma Triay, Ale Salazar, Carolina Navarro, Franco Stupaczuk, Momo González and the local player Ibrahim Alabdulla.
The Jaguars have been proclaimed as the first winners in the history of the World Padel League played in Dubai. The team formed by Gemma Triay, Ale Salazar, Carolina Navarro, Franco Stupaczuk, Momo González, local Ibrahim Alabdulla and coached by Neki Berwig beat the Panthers in Sunday’s grand final by 21 games to 17.


The mixed doubles were in charge of opening the grand final, with a duel between Carolina Navarro and Sanyo Gutiérrez, who faced Álex Ruiz and Bea González. The Spanish-Argentine duo put the first advantage for the Jaguars, beating the Malaga 6-3. An advantage that grew even more with the victory of Stupa and Alabdulla in the second meeting. The Argentine and the local player went over Álex Ruiz and Fares Aljanahi, who lost 6-4.


“Dubai has become the city of racquet sports, not only in the UAE but in the entire globe. Several world championships and top competitions were organised in this particular sport,” Al Rahma said.
The winning team, received a prize money of Dhs 550,000 ( $ 150,000 USD)
