Premier Padel, the leading official professional padel tour worldwide, and the French Tennis Federation (FFT), renewed their agreement to host the Paris Major at iconic Stade Roland Garros until 2029. The new five-year agreement ensures that the Paris event will continue being showcased in one of the most emblematic sport venues in the world – systematically taking place in September.
This renewal agreement between Premier Padel and the FFT reinforces the strong partnership that began with the inaugural Paris Major in 2022, during Premier Padel’s very first season. An event which has seen attendance figures exponentially increase every year – in parallel with padel’s growing popularity in France and worldwide – with an attendance record of over 64,000 spectators throughout the week last season.
For this year’s edition, the FFT and Alpine have signed a strategic three-year agreement, which makes the French car brand manufacturer the new title sponsor of the event – becoming the Alpine Paris Major Premier Padel. The official logo and details on the partnership were unveiled this Thursday at Stade Roland Garros, in a press conference which featured Gilles Moretton, the President of the FFT; Arnaud Di Pasquale, the Tournament Director; and Antonio Labate, Vicepresident of Sales, Marketing & Customer Experience at Alpine. The event also featured top world-padel players and legends, including Fernando Belasteguín, Federico Chingotto and Claudia Fernández. At the conclusion of the press conference, players, journalists and VIP guests had the opportunity to play a padel clinic all together.
David Serrahima, General Manager of Premier Padel, said:
“Roland Garros stands among the most iconic venues in global sport, and the renewal of our agreement with the FFT represents a significant moment for professional padel – establishing this event as a permanent fixture on the Premier Padel calendar for the coming years. Since its inception, Premier Padel has transformed the landscape of the sport – bringing it to new audiences, offering players the stages they deserve, and creating unforgettable experiences for fans. Hosting a Major at Roland Garros is not only a symbol of how far padel has come, but a powerful driver of its continued growth in France and around the world.”
