The Milano Premier Padel P1 delivered an unforgettable week of world-class padel, with elite players captivating thousands at the Allianz Cloud.
Coello and Tapia continue their dominance with another title. The Golden Boys, Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia, claimed their 14th title of the season with a hard-fought 6-4, 7-5 victory over archrivals Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto. The match was defined by their ability to capitalize on key break opportunities, particularly in a tight second set where their resilience under pressure made the difference. Reflecting on their extraordinary year, Arturo Coello stated: “Another week enjoying with Agus. We need to value every day we’ve had in this amazing year because I think it will be very hard to replicate. We’re experiencing incredible, emotional moments, and fighting alongside him every day isn’t work—it’s a pleasure.”
Triay and Fernández crowned champions. Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernández claimed the women’s title after a dramatic final against Bea González and Delfi Brea ended prematurely due to an injury to González.
A challenging match with unfortunate circumstances. Marked by intensity and seven breaks between the pairs, the final saw González and Brea start strong but falter in the first-set tiebreak. Despite regaining momentum in the second set, the injury forced an emotional withdrawal. Reflecting on the moment, Claudia Fernández shared: “I think we’ve had a really good week, and after so much time, I believe we’ve worked very hard. But above all, I want to send a lot of strength to Bea and Delfi’s team, who were playing an amazing match.”
Football icons from the world celebrate padel. The week’s action attracted global football stars including Paulo Dybala, Leandro Paredes, Nicolò Barella, Álvaro Morata, Arthur Melo, Esteban Cambiasso, Massimo Ambrosini, Gianluca Zambrotta, Marco Materazzi, Christian Panucci, and Ricardo Ferri. Their presence at the Allianz Cloud reflected the growing appeal of padel across disciplines. Speaking about this, Agustín Tapia shared: “For us, it’s a true pleasure to have them come and watch us, to get to know the sport. They are stars, and we are very grateful.”
Record-breaking attendance in Milan. This year’s event welcomed 32,000 fans, marking a 7% increase compared to the 2023 edition and a remarkable 20% growth since the tournament’s debut in 2022. This surge in attendance highlights Milan’s growing passion for padel.
