Today, during the FIP European Padel Championships and in the presence of the president of the International Padel Federation, Luigi Carraro, representatives of the federations of 31 countries – Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Vatican City, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, Principality of Monaco, Poland, United Kingdom, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, Ukraine, Hungary – who have decided to proceed with the establishment of ‘Padel Europe,’ a new continental entity within FIP that will be based in Spain and was created with a view to strengthening our sport on a continental and world level.
FIP President Luigi Carraro commented on the birth of ‘Padel Europe’ as follows, “I am very happy and I thank the European member countries of FIP for joining this initiative. ‘Padel Europe’ was born in the name of the same harmony, unanimous key decisions and common intents that the last FIP general assembly in Asunción, Paraguay, has featured. And not only that: the goals achieved, the increasingly evident expansion of our sport in the name of a common horizon show how each new initiative undertaken by the International Padel Federation is the fruit of complete sharing and mutual trust”.
At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the countries that proceeded with the establishment of ‘Padel Europe’ highlighted, “The new entity, born within FIP and open to all those European FIP federations that would like to be part of it, comes to life with the purpose to further coordinate the efforts of the European member countries of FIP and with a view to a common strengthening of our sport”.
