At the Arkéa Arena, the Betclic Bordeaux Premier Padel P2 show has begun. After the end of the qualifying draw, the first six matches of the men’s main draw of the tenth event of the Premier Padel circuit season were played. The most beautiful and balanced match of the day was the one that opened the schedule on the centre court, with the comeback success of Javi Rico and Juanlu Esbri over the number 8 seed Lucho Capra and Alex Chozas. It ended 6-7 6-3 6-2 in two hours and 2 minutes.
Wednesday is the day of the debut of the top seeds on the draw. Leading the entry list, in France, are Fernando Belasteguin and Juan Tello: their debut against Semmler/Vilariño will be the third match of the day (schedule starting at 10am CET) on centre court. Mike Yanguas and Javi Garrido (2) will close the day against Ramiro Moyano and Xisco Gil. Also on centre court are the French wild cards Blanque/Guichard, against Juan Cruz Belluati and Miguel Lamperti.
WOMEN Wednesday will also be the day for the start of the women’s draw. The French wild cards Ginier Barbier/Touly will take on Saiz/Lobo, great expectations also for another Frenchwoman, Alix Collombon, who paired with Argentine Julieta Bidahorria will face the number 8 seed Lorena Rufo and Bea Caldera. Opening the programme will be Aranzazu Osoro and Marta Marrero, the latter returning after a maternity leave. They will face Carolina Orsi and Daiara Valenzuela.
