The official calendar for the 2024 A1 Padel season will feature a minimum of 18 tournaments. After the successful debut at the Open de Puebla (Mexico) and in the middle of the CMB Monaco Master, the circuit has announced the events for the whole year which includes new countries such as Chile, Portugal and Italy.
A1 Padel continues with its international expansion, one of the objectives set since its creation, and this season will reach a minimum of 10 countries, with the possibility of increasing this figure as there are still a dozen requests to organise a tournament on the waiting list.
This week all eyes are on the now legendary WBC Monaco Masters tournament, which in its new format will run for ten days until Sunday 24 March. The tour will continue in South America from the 15th to the 21st of April when A1 Padel visits Chile for the first time. The San Cristobal Polo Club in the trans-Andean capital will host this second Open of the season.
The Mexico Open (13 to 19 May) has been postponed for the month of May and then from the 27th of that month the first tournament on Spanish territory will be played, the Open de la Comunidad de Madrid.
Two other events in Spain have also been confirmed. From 17 to 23 June in Catalonia and the following week in the Galician city of Pontevedra. During the first week of July, Italy will host a tournament on the circuit for the first time before travelling to the United States, where an Open and a Masters are scheduled, the latter in the city of Texas.
Another of the circuit’s legendary venues, the River Plate stadium in the Argentine capital, will welcome the stars of A1 Padel from the 16th to the 25th of August.For the last four months of the season, the calendar foresees a return to Mexico in September with the Torreon Open from the 16th to the 22nd of September.
In the first week of October, the second edition of one of the most successful events of 2023, the Panama Open, will take place.From 11 to 20 October, another of the circuit’s major events has already been confirmed, the Santander Sevilla Master, which this year changes venue and will be held at the Polideportivo San Pablo.
And to close an October full of padel, in the last week it is announced the arrival for the first time in Portugal, more precisely in Oporto, with what would be the last Open of the season.
The last two events before the Final Master in December will be in Argentina with another Master from the 1st to the 10th of November and the traditional Grand Master in France from the 15th to the 24th of November.
It should be noted that this is a primary calendar, as there are 12 other applications pending confirmation depending on the availability of dates, including new venues in Asia and Africa.
