Winning in the national team shirt to write a new chapter in their country’s history: that is the dream and the objective driving the next generation of men’s padel as they arrive at the FIP Junior Euro Padel Cup 2026, taking place from 27 June to 4 July in Porto, Portugal. This major continental competition will feature not only promising young players aiming for important results, but also talents who have already achieved significant success in international tournaments.
Spain are the clear favourites for the title. Looking at the entry list, it is easy to understand why. Among the standout names is 18-year-old Coquito Zamora, who has already demonstrated his quality in Portugal. In May last year, alongside current FIP Ranking No.38 Aimar Goñi, he reached the final of the FIP Silver Viseu e Tondela. Then, in October, he advanced to the final of the FIP Silver Porto. His achievements also include an appearance in the main draw of the 2025 Premier Padel P1 Malaga. Spain’s squad also includes Samu Rivas Garcia, who claimed his first CUPRA FIP Tour title in March by winning the FIP Bronze in Helsingborg, Sweden. The 2026 season also brought a first title on the circuit for another member of the Spanish national team, Iago Fuertes, winner of the FIP Bronze in Kolding, Denmark, at the beginning of May. Aaron Garcia will also be competing in Portugal. He has an excellent record in the country, having won the FIP Bronze Matosinhos there, one of the four CUPRA FIP Tour titles he has claimed during his career.
Another national team expected to make a strong impact is Sweden. As well as being one of the countries where padel has expanded most rapidly in recent years, Sweden has demonstrated its ability to develop young talent and help players progress to the highest level. Adam Axelsson, born in 2004 and currently partnering Rodrigo Coello, is a clear example. The pair won the FIP Bronze in Miami in mid-May before recently reaching the round of 16 at the Premier Padel P2 Valladolid. Sweden’s squad for the FIP Junior Euro Padel Cup includes Gustav Berg, fresh from victory at the FIP Promises in Kolding, together with Eddi Svensson, Filip Sterner, Malte Lindh and Filip Dahlqvist.
France will also arrive in Portugal aiming for a strong performance, with a bronze medal as the minimum objective. Their leading players are Jeremy Robert and Olivier Guy De Chamisso, winners of the FIP Bronze in Marnes at the end of May. For both players, it was their first CUPRA FIP Tour title. In the final, the French pair defeated Spain’s Samu Rivas Garcia, one of the opponents they could meet again in Porto. It is even possible that such a rematch could come in the match deciding the title. France’s squad also features young Tyrone Pottier, winner of three FIP Promises Tour events this year, who will be looking to showcase his talent while representing ‘Les Bleus’.
