A sport with more than 35 million players

The report highlights significant year-on-year growth:

  • Over 35 million amateur players worldwide
  • +16.1% in the number of clubs
  • +15.2% in the number of courts
  • +42% in registered federation members

On the occasion of the FIP General Assembly held in Acapulco, Mexico, on 28 November 2025, the President of the International Padel Federation, Luigi Carraro, officially presented the 2025 edition of the World Padel Report.

This comprehensive analysis, produced by the FIP Research & Data Analysis Department — the Federation’s dedicated research center – offers an in-depth overview of FIP’s global activities.

The report is the result of meticulous data collection and analysis, made possible thanks to the valuable contributions of numerous affiliated national federations across all five continents, particularly through the FIP National Federation Survey 2025.

Its goal is to illustrate the global growth of padel in recent years, with key insights into participation rates, the development of competitive events, and international sports performance.

The FIP World Padel Report 2025 delivers another in-depth assessment of the sport’s rapid global expansion, estimating that the number of players worldwide has now surpassed 35 million.

The second edition of the world governing body’s annual report shows continued strong momentum: the number of clubs has grown by 16.1%, courts by 15.2%, and national-federation memberships by 42% compared with last year.

At the professional level, FIP-sanctioned events increased from 182 in 2024 to 290 in 2025, featuring more than 11,000 athletes across the men’s, women’s, and junior (Promises) rankings.

Globally, facilities continue to expand at pace. Clubs have risen by 4,775, now exceeding 24,600, while 14,355 courts built in 2025 have pushed the total to 77,300 across 150 countries and 20 dependent territories—an increase of 26 territories since the 2024 report.

The report also identifies Great Britain as one of three “major European countries” (alongside France and Germany) maintaining a remarkable 130% growth rate in 2024. It notes the milestone of 1,000 courts, reported by the LTA in July, a figure that has nearly doubled in the months since.

The FIP World Padel Report 2025 also spotlights the sport’s expanding digital footprint. In 2025, padel content attracted 3.8 million unique users and 70 million page views—a tenfold increase compared with 2023. Followers across FIP’s official social media channels (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn) have risen by 400% in just two years, climbing from 210,000 in 2023 to 850,000 in 2025.

A new chapter in the participation section analyses padel’s development at the continental level, identifying for each region the nations experiencing rapid growth, emerging markets, and those entering a consolidation phase.

The competition section provides an overview of the history and key statistics of the three FIP circuits—Premier Padel, the CUPRA FIP Tour, and FIP Promises—and includes detailed analyses of the FIP men’s and women’s rankings across both professional and junior categories.
