The 2025 FIP Finals — the season-ending championship of the International Padel Federation’s global circuit — will take place this December in Shanghai’s Yangpu district.
Making their first-ever appearance in Asia, the Finals represent the pinnacle of the FIP Tour. The event will feature both men’s and women’s doubles, each with 16 pairs competing in a best-of-three-set format.
Only the top-performing pairs from this year’s Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze FIP tournaments are eligible to participate. Winners of the eight Platinum and Gold events earn automatic qualification. Among those already confirmed are the recent Platinum champions from Seville, Spain: men’s doubles winners Francisco Navarro, world No. 11, and Lucas Bergamini, world No. 12, along with women’s doubles champions Alejandra Alonso De Villa, ranked No. 12 globally, and Claudia Jensen, ranked No. 13.
This year also marks a milestone for Asian padel, as Asian athletes will compete at the highest level of the FIP Tour for the first time. The field will include Zhang Bohou, the first Chinese player to earn FIP ranking points, and Zhai Yu, currently the highest-ranked active Chinese woman in the FIP standings.
