The Alpine Paris Major Premier Padel came to a spectacular close on Sunday, as Court Philippe-Chatrier welcomed another huge crowd and a star-studded guest list for the tournament’s grand finale. With the World No.1s rising to the occasion once again, both finals delivered history, dominance — and unforgettable moments.
Zinédine Zidane and Pierre Gasly joined the celebrations on court to present the trophies to the women’s and men’s champions respectively, adding a touch of Parisian glamour to a day already rich in sporting excellence. They were joined throughout the week by a long list of personalities from sport and entertainment, including Kevin Gameiro, Olivier Dacourt, Matthias Dandois, Constance Jablonski, Philippe Lacheau, Juan Imhoff, and Nicolas Cartman. The tournament also drew the attention of prominent figures such as Fabián Ruiz, Samir Nasri, Raymond Domenech, Omar Da Fonseca, and Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Chairman of Premier Padel and Paris Saint-Germain — cementing the event’s reputation as one of the global highlights of the padel calendar.
Triay Makes History as Delfi & Gemma Sweep the Majors
The women’s final saw Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea complete a flawless Major campaign with a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Tamara Icardo and Marta Ortega, lifting their seventh title of the season and third Major of the year.
With the win, Gemma Triay becomes the first player in Premier Padel history — male or female — to win all four different Majors consecutively, adding Paris 2025 to her triumphs in Mexico 2024, Qatar 2025, and Italy 2025. She also surpasses Sánchez and Josemaría to become the female player with the most Major titles (5) and completes the historic sweep of all four Majors.
It was a composed and clinical performance by the World No.1s, who were tested early by Ortega and Icardo but raised their level when it mattered most. After trading breaks and staying level until 5-5 in the first, Triay and Brea seized the momentum to close the set 7-5 and raced through five straight games in the second to seal the match in under two hours.
For Icardo and Ortega, it was a bittersweet conclusion to a brilliant campaign that saw them upset the No.3 and No.2 seeds en route to the final. Icardo played her first Major final, while Ortega made her second appearance in the Paris decider after finishing runner-up in 2023 with Triay.
Delfi Brea reflected on the win during the trophy ceremony: “Unbelievable place to play. It’s really amazing to be here. Last year I lost the final, but this year we could make it. Congratulations to all the team behind it.”

Coello & Tapia Defend Their Paris Crown in Style
The men’s final followed a familiar script, as Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia powered to a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto, securing their third consecutive Paris Major title, ninth trophy of the year, and 27th Premier Padel crown as a team.
The No.1s came out flying, breaking early and storming through the first set in just 25 minutes. Galán and Chingotto found their rhythm in the second, but an early break proved decisive against Coello and Tapia.
The win extends their head-to-head lead over Galán and Chingotto to 16-6, including victories in the last four finals they’ve contested. For Chingotto, it was a fourth consecutive final defeat in Paris, having finished runner-up in 2022, 2023, 2024, and now 2025. While Galán and Chingotto remain in the hunt for the World No.1 ranking thanks to their Italy Major win, Coello and Tapia now hold a 2–1 edge in Major titles against them this season.

What’s Next for the Tour?
After back-to-back blockbusters in Madrid and Paris, the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour now takes a short break before heading into its European autumn swing. The Germany Premier Padel P2 gets underway in Düsseldorf on Monday, 22 September, followed by the Rotterdam Premier Padel P1 (29 September – 5 October) and Milano Premier Padel P1 (6–12 October).
While there is no Premier Padel event this coming week, fans can still enjoy elite padel action at the FIP Platinum Sevilla, where 300 ranking points will be up for grabs. The draw features a stellar cast led by home hero Paquito Navarro, who will be looking to thrill the Andalusian fans on home soil.
