Puerto Cabello men’s Category P2 :

Tapia and Coello win a very tough match against Chingotto and Galán
It was the third consecutive title for Arturo and Coello, who won 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 against the new pair of Ale Galán and Federico Chingotto.
They have been able to overcome everyone and everything and in the final, against Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto, they have also had to come back against this new pairing, who still have certain seams that should be adjusted, but who have played very well and very solid.
Coello and Tapia ended the dream of Ale Galán and Federico Chingotto, who reached the final in their first tournament as a pair. The No. 1s came back from a set down, as they did in the semifinals against Nieto/Sanz.
It was one of the most eagerly awaited finals with a new pair that wants to climb to take the first position in the rankings and the current number 1 in the world. But Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia did not miss the opportunity to continue adding trophies to their trophy cabinets and won the title by a 2/6, 6/3 and 6/3 in the final score.
First Doha, then Acapulco and now Puerto Cabello. Arturo and Agustín arrive at the break in a great moment and still with the capacity to improve, but showing that on the international tour they have been very strong and that they are still the great rivals to beat.

Puerto Cabello Women’s Category P2 :

n the women’s draw, Delfina Brea and Bea González won the first title of the season with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Alejandra Salazar and Tamara Icardo in one hour and 57 minutes.
Delfi Brea and Bea Gonzalez went through the round of 16 without playing against Piltcher-Valenzuela due to the withdrawal of their opponents. They did not miss the opportunity to add a new title and won in an exciting final by a 6/4 and 6/3 in the final score.
Delfina described the experience of this tournament in Venezuela and about the final saying “very happy. It was a very nice tournament, we stayed in a complex that we had everything, this center court is beautiful. Throughout the match the conditions also changed, at the beginning I was faster and when night fell with the humidity it became more complicated.”
For his part, Gonzalez gave his impressions of the match and opponents. “The truth is that we had just lost this match in Doha, and we really wanted to play it against them again, to play the rematch. The girls played very well, it was a very even match, the keys were to hold our heads a lot, be patient and take our chances”.
The next challenge on the Premier Padel calendar will be the P2 in Brussels, which will take place from April 23 to 28, where the best players in the world will look to continue demonstrating their skill on the court.
